Chamossiere - Facilities
The apartment is accessible by car
without snow chains in most conditions, although we recommend that you carry
them with you - just in case. The access roads and areas around the apartment
are regularly cleared of snow as is the access route to the garage. The
apartment also has a private ski locker in the cellar.
The Nyon ski lift departs only a few
yards from the apartment, which takes you to the Nyon sector of the Morzine - Les
Gets ski area. From here you can ski down to either Les Gets (with access to
the Mont Chery ski area) or to Morzine village. A short walk through the
village will take you to the Super-Morzine lifts where you can access the rest
of the massive Portes-du-Soleil ski area. Alternatively, the regular ski bus
leaves from just outside the apartment, taking you into the town centre where
you can get a ski bus for Ardent and Prodain ski lifts. Note that the ski buses
are free for skiers and non-skiers alike.
The apartment is fully equipped for self
catering, although there is a restaurant situated only a few yards away.
Alternatively there is a wide selection of restaurants in the village.
At the end of the day, the slopes will
bring you back to within a few yards of the apartment. Snow making equipment
has now been installed on the return piste, which should guarantee access in
early and late season.
Morzine also offers a superb assortment
of non-ski activities for any non-skiers in the party, or why not simply take a
day off from skiing and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. For full details of
