Travel Information - Rail

Keltic Holidays is not currently selling holiday packages which are inclusive of rail travel. In the meantime, we have much experience in travelling to the Alpes and can give you the following advice and suggestions :

There are a number of rail options available, here are some suggestions :

• London - Paris - Cluses : London to Paris with Eurostar. Then Paris to Cluses with TER (1 change on route)

• Snow Train London - Paris - Albertville : London to Paris with Eurostar. Then Paris to Albertville on overnight snow train (with Disco / Bar).

• Snow Train Dover - Calais - Albertville : Dover to Calais railway station with a coach. Calais to Albertville on overnight snow train (with Disco / Bar).

• London - Paris - Annecy :  London to Paris with Eurostar. Then Paris to Annecy with the TGV (about 8 hours travelling time)

• Ski Train London - Moutiers : Direct train runs twice at weekend (Daytime Journey on Saturday or Overnight Fri-Sat out and Sat-Sun back)

Note that special timetables operate over Xmas / New year 2004-2005.

Note that Ski / Snow Trains only run during ski season (Mid December to Mid April).
